For Deism to survive as a philosophy, Deists must be aware of the temptation to join together into groups for the purpose of comradery and a sense of community.
That might sound good to some people but that is a great part of the attraction that revealed religions use to attract and hold the members of their congregations. But for Deists, it is a slippery slope that may lead to Deism becoming a religion and not a philosophy.
Deism is a place where people look into, for the purpose of finding their Creator and deciding how they believe they should live their life, through their own interactions with their Creator. Which means a belief that you can communicate with your Creator, which is a belief that is applicable only to the individual Deist This is why the internet is such a great forum for Deism.
We may communicate our thoughts to each other, which hopefully will lead to each Deist coming to their own decisions regarding any individual issue. I think each Deist is different in their beliefs and beyond that the Deist platform is the place to find the answers to complete their transition to Deism.
For Deism to prevail for centuries, Deists must understand that as Deists, beyond the Deism internet platform, you stand alone and live your life according to your individual beliefs and let other Deists live according to their own beliefs.
Only religions in general and Revealed religions in particular, require all of their congregants to be the same in their beliefs and committed to their religious community and all the rituals they have concocted.
Very true. The light of reason and truth. Now, if the rest of humanity could just see the light. Imagine what a fully aware world could do.
