Hello everyone! For anonymity and safety reasons, I will be not giving my real name. My name is Jack. I am 32 years old and I live in Farmington Hills, MI. I work as a roof inspector. I am originally from the Nabi Sheet village (Prophet Seth in English. Village is named after the prophet himself) in the eastern part of Lebanon. I grew up in a Shia Muslim household. As a kid, I went to one of the best Islamic schools in Toronto, Canada. I still have both the adhan and entire Quran memorized. Until I was an adult, I always stuck to what I learned as a kid. 10 years ago, however, I moved to North America from Lebanon. Once here, I connected with the Shia Muslim community in Michigan and I saw not only them but also saw Islam as a whole for its true colors: a corrupt, morally bankrupt, and fraudulent religion. Up until a month ago, I struggled to co-exist with my own kind and as a result, I felt like I don't have a community which I can belong and relate to. I spent the last 10 years questioning Islam in the most extreme way possible. A month ago, I stumbled upon Deism. I started to do my research about Deism and found out that the core principles of Deism align with my current spiritual beliefs. I then made the decision to leave Islam and that's my story of how I became a Deist. I hope to meet like-minded people who also live in Michigan and connect with them and get to know them better!! 😊👍

Hi Jack! It's wonderful to read that someone has gone from Islam to Deism! I know someone who has followed the same path, but is trapped in his Islamic country. I'd like you to meet him, would you like to?
