Aristotle gave us the First uncaused cause, The Prime Mover (PM) also posited that the PM had always existed. So while the PM was not created the PM simply always existed, and that the first uncaused cause. There can only be one first uncaused cause, which means there is no second uncaused cause. And Science says for anything to exist there must be a cause. That cause is the PM who is the only Creator there will ever be. He created the universe and all that's in it including ourselves. The PM is eternal. He has no beginning and has no end.

Thomas Paine sounds a lot like Aristotle in this statement from The Age of Reason. He believed God to be "...a first cause eternally existing, of a nature totally different to any material existence we know of, and by the power of which all things exist; and this first cause man calls God."
