I am friends with many different religions. The friends I have of one religion is the Baha’i Faith. They don’t teach original sin. But they believe that humans have an animalistic nature. I cannot disagree more! We are evolved animals with reason. As I don’t agree with the Baha’i Faith in, is revealed religion. I do agree with them on many points. And, this teaching is one of them. This explains why humans do good and bad. We have not evolved out our animal primal nature in some ways. But, in a civilized society we must bring order to control our animal impulses. Which means build virtue and build morals. I cannot disagree more. I think that teaching is deistic.

I believe that the purpose of human life is to be as sane, good, and happy as possible, now and always. Whatever belief system best helps one to accomplish that purpose is the belief system that one should embrace. Christianity and Islam have both good and bad, and Bahaism was greatly influenced by them. I suppose that, overall, Bahaism is better than Christianity and Islam for at least these reasons: 1) It is not as exclusive as Christianity because it does not teach that only those who get baptized, take Communion, believe a bunch of nonsense about Jesus of Nazareth, and do some charity go to Heaven. 2) It is not as violent as Islam. Islam is a religion of peace. That's why Muslims often blow people to pieces.
That said, Bahaism is not perfect. A couple of things that I disagree with it are that it claims that all major religions basically teach the same thing; they don't. And it claims that homosexuality is evil; it isn't.
The bottom line is that if Bahaism makes you as sane, good, and happy as possible, now and always, please embrace it. If not, please reject it. As for me, I prefer a theology that is basically Deistic and a morality that is basically Justice as Fairness, as taught by John Rawls.
I've had limited contacts with those of the Baha'i faith... seemed to be lunatics and were quickly fired...
